A quick word before you dive in
I've done my best to make this list accurate and up to date. Many festivals in it have an application link or all the details you need to apply. Some don't publish that information, and festivals change dates and deadlines without notice, so a few entries may be out of date by the time you read them.
Treat the list as your starting point: check each festival's own site before you apply, and dig a little further where details are missing. Good luck out there.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. You give us your first name and email address, we send you the list and our UK gig opportunities emails. No card, no catch.
Who is it for?
Bands and artists in the UK who want to play festivals, from first gigs to bands already touring.
How up to date is it?
We check festivals on their own pages and keep the list updated; it always shows the date it was last updated. Deadlines change and some festivals publish little, though. Always confirm on the festival's site before you apply.
